CCE China is providing a fully escorted 8-day travel seminar to China, visiting Beijing and Hangzhou, present and former capitals, and Shanghai, the economic and financial center of China. Group size is limited to 18.

Imagine being just outside Beijing, standing on the Great Wall of China, the national symbol of power and strength. Chairman Mao once said that you “are not a man (woman) unless you have seen the Great Wall.” And true he was, for standing on such an awesome monument to China's history truly invokes feelings of inspiration. Follow your heart to the Forbidden City and see where Emperors past once ruled China. Imagine a time when those that lived inside the Forbidden City were not allowed to leave and those that lived outside were not allowed in! A visit to Tien An Men Square conjures up true amazement as the largest open air public square in the world. Take a free walk into Chairman Mao's tomb and then watch all the famous Chinese kites being flown in the square. Taste the elegance of traditional Northern Chinese food including Peking roast duck and hand thrown noodles.
Walk the streets of the emerging powerhouse of Shanghai, known as Pudong. See how truly advanced this area has become. Shopping includes famous big city shops as well as small family owned businesses. Try food influenced by years of colonization blended with the tradition and elegance of China's own traditions.
Travel to the heart of China's paradise called Hangzhou. Countless poets and artists have made their home here over the past centuries. Writings about this famous land include the pristine Pagodas that line the horizon in every direction as well as the famous man-made West Lake, built many centuries ago. One such poem describes, “God made paradise in the sky and Suzhou and Hangzhou on earth.”
The 8-day all inclusive CCE China Cultural Highlights seminar costs $ $1,499. The price quoted includes an CCE China group leader, international airfare from Los Angeles (and return), internal flights between Shanghai and Beijing, coach travel between Shanghai and Hangzhou, local guides, hotels (3 star and 4 star), all meals, all entry fees to museums and sites, all taxes and special discussions, en route. You need to have a valid passport and be sure to budget $75 for a visa (which we will obtain for you), and $5/day to tip the guides and driver.
